Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
This week's topic is: Top Ten Characters Who Would Make Great Leaders...in a Book Club!!
*in no particular order
10. GEORGINA KINCAID from Richelle Mead's Georgina Kincaid Series--Georgina works in a bookstore and dates a writer! So yeah, she'd be an awesome book club leader!
9. ECHO from Melissa Grey's Girl at Midnight Trilogy--Echo lives in a library! So naturally she reads a lot when she's not saving the world!
8. PUCK from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey Series--true, he may not be a reader in a sense, but he's entertaining enough to make up for it!
7. AUGUST from Victoria Schwab's Monsters of Verity Duology--August is another of those characters who I think would make a great book club leader. I can't recall 100% if he was the reader type, but for some reason I thought he was...
6. SOOKIE STACKHOUSE from Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Mystery Series--will always refer to the series as this despite the name change! Lol! Sookie too was a reader when she had time! I think she too would make a great book club reader!
5. JESSICA from Amelia Awater-Rhodes' Den of Shadows Series--Jessica was a writer before she became a vampire, and likely would continue to write even after her change. So as long as she promised not to bite her club members, she too would make a great book club leader!
4. HERMIONE GRANGER from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Series--because duh.
3. KATY from Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux Series--Katy is a book blogger, so naturally she should run her own book club!
2. DAEMON from Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux Series--naturally, he would have to be a co-leader with Katy. He'd probably wouldn't stay on topic, but I still remember how he "helped" Katy with her one vlog and I think he would definitely make book club enjoyable on many levels! I'll even bring the cookies! LOL!
1. BELLE--because duh. Lol!
Love the twist on the topic. Awesome! Puck would be a fun book club leader. He's tons of fun and doesn't take things too seriously.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that anyone would be able to read with Daemon and Puck around! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha! Great take on this topic! I definitely think that Hermione would make a great book club leader :D
ReplyDeleteHere are my Top Ten!
I love your list, and so many of these lovelies!
ReplyDeleteAshley @ Caught Reading Redheaded
Great cover and title. I would read it.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental My TT
Ooh Killman Creek looks chilling (ha ha) and a little tense! And Hermione and Georgina look like good book club leaders too!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the Rachel Caine book in the GR Choice Awards, now I want to read it!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes, Hermione’s book club would be the best!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I love your particular twist to this one - and we all know book people are the best type:)). My TT is an epic fantasy - https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/11/07/teaser-tuesday-6th-november-2017/
ReplyDeleteI did the same topic this week, but the only ones we share are Hermione and Belle!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2017/11/07/top-ten-tuesday-132/
I love your twist!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting teaser! I agree with your #1.
ReplyDeleteI did love the Lux series and I would not mind being in that book club! I also really enjoyed the first Succubus book and think she would be a great Book Club lead for sure she has an in with authors and all ;) My Top Ten
ReplyDeleteI should for sure read more books, because most of the characters you mention I don't know anything about. I saw books from the Iron Fey Series in the library the other day, so I might just very soon check out book #1.
ReplyDeleteI'm really interested in The Girl of Midnight and The Iron king. I LOVE the twist you gave this topic! And I totally agree on Hermione too <3
ReplyDeleteI was on hiatus for the entire month of November when I was supposed to write about this fantastic topic on leaders, so I missed it. But I wanted to do it so much that I ended up writing it anyway with my own twist and posting it on the blog weeks later. I couldn’t pass the opportunity!
