Friday Hops

This blogger hop was created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books.

Here are the rules:
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!). If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).
2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):

"If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?"

MY ANSWER: Tough one, I was actually working on a big preorder basket online, but if I were to go into the bookstore and had to spend $80, I would buy: River Marked by Patricia Briggs,
Past Midnight and One Hundred Candles by Mara Purnhagen,
The Iron Thorn by Caitlin Kittredge,
Firelight by Sophie Jordan
The Lost Saint by Bree Despain.

And that's all I got at the moment. Of course I wouldn't go in without my Borders coupons and my rewards card to take off some percents to get more books!
This is a weekly blog meme created by Parajunkee's View.

This week's question is: Just like Ashley said (love it) "Ashley the girl..." who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?

MY ANSWER: I am an inspiring writer who's going through the awful query process, of waiting and getting rejected. I graduated back in May 10 with my BA in English and a minor in Writing and trying to find a job and getting rejected after interviews. Going through a lot of rejections right now! And of course I love reading! I've also always loved the supernatural since I was 13 and now it's so popular, and it sometimes makes me feel like I just follow the trends, which I so don't. But whatever.

I live at home still, no job remember? ;) I love my family even if they drive me crazy. It's just me, my mom, my older sister and her 2-year old daughter who was born on my birthday and she loooves books and Scooby Doo!!

  2. Hey Jessica, just stopping by on the follow. Apparently they can't see talent when it stands in front of them. Write a post about rejection, scream from the top of your lungs, I will prevail! Your time will come, don't you dare give up. Yeah, it is nice being a beach bum with a book in hand. Hehe.
    Have a terrific weekend!!!
    See ya!

  14. Wow! Are situations are really similar. Except for all the rejections because I haven't been able to decide what I want to write about. But I do spend most of my time at home with my family when I'm not at school b/c I am spectacularly unemployed. I really am trying to remedy that problem.

But thanks for hopping by! It was good to hear from you :D
