MY ANSWER: Ooh fun one! My first pick I'd say is Slasher Girls & Monster Boys! This a really fun collection of short stories that are creepy and scary! This way you can just take your time reading the creepy and get a break every now and then! I'd say most are more eerie than truly scary!

 

 

Another favorite is The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich! This one is told in a different way through video clips, diary entries...that kind of thing! So it can be easy to tone down the scary when there's not an actual video playing in your book! Lol! It was a rather cool and eerie ghost story and I loved it!
