This week's question is: Do the star ratings a book receives on Goodreads or retail sites affect whether you buy the book or not? (submitted by Flora @ Flora's Musings...)
MY ANSWER: If it's for a book I am already determined to read? No. If it's for a book I'm debating about and possibly having doubts and need some "advice" from fellow readers and reviewers, yes. I will look at a few 5 star reviews, possible read a few lower starred ones, like maybe 2 stars. Just to get an idea of what worked for readers and what didn't.
