Well, this was another meh week. Nothing exciting happened. The best day of the week was yesterday naturally! I love Indie Bookstore Day! I got some good stuff from my favorite shop so it was worth the rainy trip! Oh and of course there was The Shadow and Bone premiere. I'm not a good binge watcher. I can't handle sitting still that long watching TV. I can usually do it for reading, so go figure! Lol. I'm liking the show so far, so I'll keep enjoying it one episode at a time!

MY ANSWER: Computer! I don't like trying to do my blogging on an iPad or phone. It's way too complicated to even try typing out all those posts on those keyboards! Even though I do have a mini keyboard I use with my iPad at times. 

 

Side note, on vacation, I usually just bring my iPad to keep up to date on emails and reading blog posts outside of memes and I use that to type out a comment or two OR if I somehow managed to finish a book while on vacation, I will type up a review and send it to my email to be formatted later on!

 

But yes, for the most part, it's my laptop for my blogging needs. But an iPad works in a pinch if I'm away from home!

Yeah, that wasn't what I thought he was going to say! Lol!

We have vampire stars in our galaxy! Sometimes when two stars that are orbiting each other the more massive star will suck energy away from the other one. Drawing hydrogen away from the other, thus making the weaker star shrink.

That is so cool!

There are galaxies moving away from us faster than the speed of light due to the fabric of the universe expanding.

It takes the sun 200 million years to make one orbit around the galactic center.

When on the International Space Station, astronauts will see the sun rise and set about 15 times a day! The ISS orbits the Earth once every 90 minutes, which allows them to see this phenomenon!

That would be so cool!!

9. ALL THE STARS AND TEETH by Adalyn Grace--the Owl Crate/paperback version! I loooved this color combination of cool colors and the purple highlights!
8. SHADOWS by Jennifer L. Armentrout--2nd edition paperback, yes I love my Pepe cover one, but you gotta admit this new one is super colorful!

7. WARCROSS by Marie Lu--original hardcover version. You can't get more colorful than all the colors!
6. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD GNOMES by Delilah S. Dawson & Kevin Hearne--still need to read this one, but I loved all the shades of blue on this one!
5. WHAT'S A GHOUL TO DO? by Victoria Laurie--and then there's the shades of pink! This cover totally caught my eye when I saw it!

4. A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU by Claudia Gray--these covers were all so colorful!
3. PART OF YOUR WORLD by Liz Braswell--I know it's got dark colors, but I thought it was pretty colorful!

Another week of the new normal and it was not fun. The week dragged for the most part. There wasn't enough to do to make the day go by faster. I've just hit one of those funks of the year where things are just boring. There's nothing to do. Nothing to look forward to. Although, I'm realllllly hoping next Saturday Independent Bookstore Day happens at my favorite indie store! They participated last year on the postponed date, so hopefully it will still go smoothly this year. Just have to make sure I know their opening time!

Here's what I bought this week:

You Love Me by Caroline Kepnes--keeper copy! I ordered it right at the end of last week so it didn't come until Monday! Of course now I have to have this new hardcover next to my two trade paperbacks, but that's what happens when a series you thought over gets back up again!
Near the Bone by Christina Henry--keeper copy! This one was super creepy in more ways than one so I HAD to have a copy on my shelves! Yay for adding to my shelves instead of TBR this week!

For review I received:

Shadow Dance by Alyssa Rose Ivy (ARC)--already read and reviewed!
Not Your Average Hot Guy by Gwenda Bond (ARC)--an impulse decision...it's paranormal and compared to Darynda Jones and I just immediately agreed to review it...thus adding to the review pile instead of tackling it down to nothing so I can read my TBR series. Maybe after the summer?

Then one of the pins I ordered earlier this month arrived! Plus a surprise bonus pin!!

Yes, I added another Caraval pin to my Caraval pin collection! It was just small enough to fit...and it was on sale...so yeah, there you go! I got it from Order of Chaos Pins Co. AND it came with this super cute Animal Crossing pin of a multi-colored teddy bear!

Then what came as a huge surprise was my Witchshadow preorder gift! I love these postcards of the characters! The art is just gorgeous!!
