In My Mailbox is a weekly blog post hosted by Kirsti over at The Story Siren and inspired by Alea at Pop Culture Junkie.
Did pretty good this week!! To start the week off I bought my copy of Shadowfever and devoured it pretty much first thing this week!
Here's my review
Then I got Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright. I'm excited for the movie despite it having the Twilight director on board and an opposite Twilight feel to it. Like I said before I read another book years ago that had a similar basis with Red and the wolf being a werewolf and falling in love.
Then I received my SIGNED copy of Spy Glass by Maria V Snyder that I won in a contest at Bitten By Books a few months ago! Was so excited since Maria is one of my fave authors! And it was SIGNED!!
Then from NetGalley, I received an E-ARC of Colleen Gleason's The Vampire Voss!
Then I received the Kindle edition of Tara Maya's The Unfinished Song, from Tara herself! Thanks Tara! I look forward to reading it!!
And this isn't a book, but still totally awesome and I had to buy it, because I could see one of my novels' characters wearing it, so I HAD to have it.
It's a little charm with a skeleton in the coffin that is to represent that Day of the Dead. And the back heart next to it, just accents it nicely! I don't know why I was so taken with this, but I just was! I bought it at an Etsy shop named Cemetery Cat Designs. She also does some Vampire Academy jewelry as well. I've bought 2 bracelets from that collection. And she does some Sabina Kane ones as well!
And that was my fabulous mailbox this week. What did you get?
OMG, I love the necklace!:) Congrats on getting Spy glass! And let me know if Red Riding Hood has some kind of Twilightesque or deja vu feeling - I need to know if I add it to my TBR list or not.:))
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Yay Shadowfever! I started this series over a year ago and got stuck with that cliffhanger after book 4 for 17 months as well. Not smart. But it was worth the wait:) I can't wait to read Red Riding Hood as well, and I think the movie looks great.
ReplyDeleteGreat mailbox! Love the necklace :)
ReplyDeleteI bought Shadowfever too. I'm re-reading all the books before I start though--trying to savor the experience. I'm anxious to read Red Riding Hood too. Enjoy all your great books!
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing books this week! I'm definitely looking out for your review of Shadowfever - I don't love the cover, but that premise is promising for sure! :)

Great mailbox! I got that book from the author as well but haven't retrieved it or decided if I will because I don't really have time for it. And I don't have a kindle to read it on. It does have a cool cover though!
