Random Thursday

June is Disney month! For all the remaining Thursdays in June we shall go back to discovery Disney related facts from Disney Facts Revealed: Answers to Fans' Curious Questions by Dave Smith!

In Toy Story 3, within the first 11 minutes of the movie, we see a letter with an address on it. 1215 45th Street, this is actually the address of Pixar Animation Studios. Regretfully, it's not open to the public.

Apparently, The Reluctant Dragon isn't considered an animated feature due to the amount of live action scenes in it. Ironically, Saludos Amigos is considered an animated feature despite having combinations of live action features and animated, but apparently the animated outweighs the live action in that one.

In the 60th Anniversary edition of Dumbo, the DVD included a preview regarding a sequel! This DVD came out in 2001, it wasn't until 2006 when John Lasseter became the chief creative officer that he scrapped the idea because he felt like too many sequels tarnished the beloved classics.

A part of me can't help but agree. Though live action remakes are sort of the exception! As long as they do it well of course! LOL!

  1. Live action remakes are not sequels so I think they get a pass as well. Plus I loved the new Beauty and the Beast almost as much as the old one.

  2. I don't even know what they would have done with Dumbo II.

Comments are an award all on their own! So my blog is an award free one! Thanks for any consideration though!
