This week's question is: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

MY ANSWER: Ooh I like this one! Very challenging! I don't know how to answer it! Wow. I do like variety though, I think I would get tired of my fave book--be hard to narrow that one down even!--if that's all I read over and over again! Some mediocre books have been good though, but I have a feeling that's not the point of the question!

So my answer...uh, pass? But seriously? I guess I would go with my fave book over and over again! But can I change it to fave series? ;)

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.
This week's question is: Love Stories: What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?

MY ANSWER: OOooh, tough one! Well as I'm reading Destiny and Deception, I must admit that I love the love stories happening there! Jessie and Pietr have always been one of my fave YA couples, but there's also Max and Amy. They're totally different from each other and from Me I mean, Jess and Pietr. And I really like that! Max is being so super nice right now to Amy after what happened to her.

Let's see, there are tons of love stories that I love in the books I've read. I practically loved all of them, maybe 99%--there have been a few I didn't care for.

I do have to say that I loved the love story from Rachel Vincent's Shifters series. Okay, Faythe did drive me nuts and there were a lot of highly intense moments between Faythe and Marc...and Jace! But I love how it all came to an end. Sorry for anyone who was rooting for the other guy, but I did like the one who got the girl!

The love stories that I love the most are the ones that take time. I am not a fan of insta-love. I prefer to see the love build. Even if it starts with animosity, it's even better that way almost! But I like watching the love blossom over the course of the novels. Even if they fall in love at book 1, I still like seeing it build and a lot of series do this.

  1. Hum... even if I do get tired of my favorite, it's still better than reading bad books for the rest of my life, I guess. LOL

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your answer to this question, if they would make it your favourite series that would make it a lot easier.

  3. Hey Jessica, Happy Aniversay! I feel the same way, I'd only be able to read a favorite book so much before I sick of it too.
    See ya,

  6. Yeah, lets all vote to change it to a favorite series. I reread the Harry Potter series every summer, the reason I chose to do it in the summer is because #1 that's when I first started the series and #2 I have to set the rule to once a year because I often want to start reading it right after I finish it and then a couple months after that and then a couple months after that. I'm hopeless.lol

  7. If I could make it fave books/series I wouldn't even hesitate! It's the BOOK that has me worried. LOL. But even so, I need my favorite! Can't imagine only reading mediocre books forever ._.

  8. Great answer. This question was very tough this week. I struggled with it the exact same way you did. It would be hard to read a book over and over again.

  9. I try to keep a mix of both. Re-read my favorites and try out new books that may or may not be mediocre.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, old follower.

  10. Totally agree on the insta-love. Would much rather see love grow then just appear out of no where.

  11. Thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving me a comment. It's a tough question this week... I still think the potential of finding a new favorite out of a stack of mediocre books is worth it. Variety is the spice of life, right? :) Have a great weekend!

  15. I agree that I would read a series over and over again. Love your answer....I think I also cheated a little on my answer by saying more than one favorite book. Have a great weekend!

  16. Haha yeah this was such a challenging question!

And I second that! If we can read books in a series, than I'd rather do that :)

  19. Hi Jessica, thanks for visiting the blog. I'd live with reading my fave book over and over again but rereading my favorite series would be infinitely better. Have a nice weekend! :)

  20. I think if I was guaranteed that they would be mediocre books then I would go with my favorite. I like revisiting my favorite characters.
The other question of favorite couples seems to elude me. I can't think of any lol I know I have some they just aren't coming to me.

  21. I agree, some mediocre books are really good! I rarely have a book that I find outstanding. :) I would be afraid of getting tired of my favorite book as well. :)
