This week's question is: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell
us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
MY ANSWER: Honestly, in St. Louis the "warm weather" means unbearable weather for me! Definitely the Fall/Winter type myself! When the heat slinks in, it brings deadly humidity with it and no cool breeze to temper it or anything like that.
So my place to read? Inside, in my room on my bed, with the air conditioner and my ceiling fan on! :D

I understand why you don't like reading outside. Unbearable weather is horrible. That's why spring is my favorite season, it is in-between weather. I only occasionally like to read outdoors when it isn't too hot or cold. Old Follower. =]
ReplyDeleteHere is my FF: http://thebookshelfreview.blogspot.com/2013/03/follow-friday33.html
Haha, I said the same thing! Reading in my bed is definitely my favorite place to be! Hope you have a good Friday :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my FF!
I've traveled to St. Louis a few times and it's always been hot and humid! ;) I live in the Colorado Rockies...I have no AC! ;) I love sitting outside (in the summer) under the trees and reading for hours. :)
ReplyDeleteBookworm Brandee - Happy Friday!
In bed with the AC is a must in the summer, I can't stand the heat :)

Understandable! I'm from a state with dry heat, so I can't STAND humidity. I probably wouldn't read outside if it was humid either. :D Old follower.
ReplyDeleteMy FF.
Love the AC as well :D I visited Kansas City a ton growing up and the temps got way past 100 degrees in the summer much like they do here. Thankfully, I was always in a swimming pool so it didn't matter a lot. I agree though, when Summer is in full swing...it's time to stay inside. I like Spring and Fall myself. Thank you so much for stopping by my FF. Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDelete*High fives fellow indoor fan* There's nowhere cozier to read than in your bed !

Yeah, the weather always ruins it for us. I can imagine, since you live in St. Louis, there is only Hot or Cold, no warm.
ReplyDeleteAutumn / Fall is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. As I live in Australia, we have just entered this season and I am so looking forward to the cooler weather and watching the leaves change color.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend:)
My FF @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
I can completely agree with that! Hot and humid are never ideal reading situations.
ReplyDeleteBoooo, humidity! Maryland experiences a ton of hot and humid weather in May-September. I can understand why you'd be an autumn person! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog - old follower!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I like cold weather better too, but that's only rare in tropical countries like where I live :)

Am an old follower. Just wanted to say it sounds like a pretty good place to be reading to me...
ReplyDeleteExactly! I'm not a fan of reading outside in Summer. Too hot and humid here too. Much prefer the sofa with air conditioning. =)

Thanks for stopping by my FF. You're too quick! =)

Hahaha! In bed... That's the best place to read and with the AC on! Awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my F&FF earlier.
Happy reading and have a great weekend!
Sarika @ The Readdicts
Yes, that would be a great place to read when the weather is that HOT. Damn, we never get that here in the Netherlands. :(
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Friday!

Oh I loved St. Louis when I went! (2 summers ago for a Michael Bublé concert) I'm in TN so I definitely understand the heat factor. Not to mention being landlocked sucks!

Oh, I wish I was there. Winter is so long here in Montreal. Without Hockey season, I don't know what we'd do, lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Old follower.
I agree I used to live in a place that was HOT HOT! Thanks for stopping by

I don't live in the south, but humidity sucks! It's so uncomfortable. I prefer reading inside, too. I love reading in bed, although I do most of my reading on the couch. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI am the exact same way. My favorite spot to read is my bed, and we have central AC, but it doesn't work enough to get the upstairs, so we have a window unit that runs right by my head. We call it the room of cool. I spend all my time in that room. Thanks for visiting my FF.
ReplyDeleteLisaILJ @ I’ll Tumble for YA
Haha, I totally understand. Don't like heat either. I might consider reading outdoors if I lived at the North Pole, maybe. It would probably be nice and quiet, right? And cool :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I hear you, im sure once summer is in full bloom i will be complaining ... but for now im saying bring on the sun , i can't wait to lay out and roast while reading. :) Old Follower - Katie @ Inkk
ReplyDeleteSummer is blazing hot down here as well..I like spring best!
ReplyDeleteIt is HOT HOT HOT where I live. So yes I tend to snuggle in, in my room with the AC and fan switched on.
ReplyDeleteDo drop by my FF. =)
Yep, it is humid and hot where I live as well. I am totally with you on the AC and ceiling fan. Have a great reading weekend.
ReplyDeleteNew follower ;-)
My F&F
It's rare for it to get unbearably hot where I live, but I have horrible allergies so I'm with you about being inside. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Read. Sleep. Repeat.
I'm not a big outdoor reader. It reains here a lot, and even when it's warm, it's so humid. However, when it's dry and warm-ish, I like to sit outside in the garden with a book.

Nice spot!! Inside is way more comfortable!!
