Waiting on Wednesday

I hate waiting...
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog post by Jill over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights releases we're eagerly awaiting.

Jessica arrives back from the Underworld to find her father embroiled in a battle against the Made wolves. She and her crew drop everything to join them.

Once she arrives, the threat is after her. Jessica is lured into danger when her adversary takes something precious from her. With help from an unlikely source, Jessica goes up against her creator in a battle that will decide the path of everyone involved. She must war against a new set of foes, ones who could not only steal her power, but could take her soul as well.

So excited for this one! Feels like ages since I read the last one! Plus Jessica looks so cool on this cover!! Wondering if this is the last book or not...

TITLE: Pure Blooded
AUTHOR: Amanda Carlson
PUBLISHER: Orbit
GENRE: Urban Fantasy
RELEASE DATE: June 16, 2015

True evil is rarely obvious. It is quiet, patient.

Insidious.

Awaiting the perfect moment to strike.

Joy Malone finally knows who she is, where she comes from and how to live in two worlds at once. And now she can introduce her family and friends to her mysterious boyfriend, Indelible Ink. But when Ink's twin sister, Invisible Inq, calls in a favor, Joy must accept a dangerous mission to find a forgotten door between worlds—a door hiding a secret that some will kill to keep.

Unseen enemies, treasonous magic and an unthinkable betrayal threaten both the Twixt and human worlds as Joy races to expose an ancient conspiracy and unleash the unalterable truth—some secrets cannot remain secret forever.

This was a series that I recently got into but found it to be very intriguing! I love the fae and seeing how different authors will make them!

  1. I've wanted to start the Amanda Carlson series for a long time. It sounds fun. I still have to read the first two Dawn Metcalf books (I own them). I absolutely LOVE Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie, so I'm super excited about The Rules! Great picks!

  2. You have presented three good choices. I haven't read too many dark thrillers. The Rule particularly interests me. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I am waiting on Pure Blooded as well- I was not really happy with the last book in the series though. I haven't read anything from the other two authors though. There are a lot of books this week that seem to be thrillers or just plain scary. Not my normal style, just remember to keep the lights on.

  4. The Rules sounds really interesting. I love unreliable narrators and while I don't mind gore I'm not a big fan of horror. I may add this one to the TBR though.
