This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read
The Rules:
- The goal is to increase blog followers, make friends and have something to post.
- You create your own post using the post prompt.
- You leave your link and thumbnail in the linky list that links back to your post prompt.
- Once you have your post up and linked, visit other posts and tell them hi. The point is to FOLLOW them not just comment.
- If you see a post that just hit it to the moon, or just want to show appreciation to a fellow blogger friend, like their name on the linky list to show some appreciation.
- The person with the most likes gets chosen as the next Feature (you can be chosen every 90 days unless we are in need of features)
- It is required that if you participate that you have to follow the FEATURE. It is a big no-no to participate and ignore the feature. They are the special snowflake in this little blizzard.
- As a participant it is up to your discretion on how you want people to follow. Please post RSS, GFC etc if you have a follow of choice.
Specific RULES:
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed FOLLOW as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”

This week's prompt is: What was the First Book that Moved You? Scared You, Made You Cry, Disturbed Your View of the World?
MY ANSWER: Ooh tough one! Hmm...I can't really remember what the very first one was. But one that had me really dropping the tears was:
Strange and Ever After by Susan Dennard
Now generally it takes a death to really make me cry...so I will leave you here with that! Because I can't bring myself to spoil a book even over 2 years later! Lol!
Another one (and this will be somewhat sorta minor-y spoilery) that I remember just needlessly crying over was:
Undead to the World by D D Barant
I can't really remember this series too well. But I sort of remember this final book. If only because I was bawling like a baby. The setup was that the heroine was in an alternate alternate universe (yes the double alternate is necessary) and the dog there died!! Not the real dog but the dog from this particular world! It's twisted I know, but I was seriously crying!! This one is just over 4 years old and it's only a minor detail but yeah...I cried!
I still have to read Susan Dennard's first series! But yeah zombies tend to do that to you.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm stopping by from Feature Follow Friday and am following you via GFC.

I haven't read Susan's Dennard's 1st trilogy, but some of my friends are avid fans who love it. It does sound interesting though! Thank you for sharing :) Have a lovely weekend!

I've not read either of those. Will have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteThere have been a few books that made me cry but I don't remember what the first would be. I don't think a book has ever really scared me.
ReplyDeleteI don't cry much over books but I do remember one that left me sobbing. Appreciate no spoilers..not something I like to read. Already a follower.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the books. Thanks for sharing. I'm following you on twitter. :)
