Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

Another meh week. Going to have to start packing my desk next week for our move...that is turning out to be very disorganized and it's just leaving me feel stressed. Nothing is going as smoothly like our prior move less than a year ago. So I've no clue what's coming with us and what's staying. I'm basically packing up my personal things at my desk that I want regardless. Lol.

In lighter news, this weekend was the annual Book Fair in my neck of the woods and I left work a little early to stop by there on my way home as it's also Cinco weekend and much of today was spent at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

But anyways, here's what I ended up getting:

When I Cast Your Shadow by Sarah Porter (ARC)
Gunslinger Girl by Lyndsay Elt (ARC)
Oh My Goth by Gena Showalter--the original edition!

For review I received:

Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa (ARC)--this was actually approved on my WoW day, so that was a happy surprise!!
Heart of the Lion by Alyssa Rose Ivy (ARC)

THANK YOU Inkyard Press & Alyssa!

Then in trade on BooksforTrade I received from Fallon @BookInNeverland:

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury (ARC)--I always admired this cover and when I had something from her wishlist I decided to make a trade for it! It's such a pretty cover!

THANK YOU Fallon!!

Then I got another of my preorder gifts:

No Country for Old Gnomes preorder poster SIGNED by Delilah, Kevin and the artist, Kiji

THANK YOU Penguin!

  1. Good luck with the move. Disorganization makes me nuts. Just breathe - in and out. It's their problem, not yours. Porter's books are always a little weird and dark, and Shadow was more of that. I liked the way she explored the family dynamic the most, and the ending was quite good. I read the update of Goth, and enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy all your new books.

  3. I hate moving an office. It seems a little soon to move if you just did it less than a year ago. I am kind of sad that I didn't get to go to the bookfair this weekend. It looks like you were able to get some pretty awesome goodies. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!
