Teaser Tuesday

Here are the rules:
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a page
3. Pick out 2 lines that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title, author, etc.

"Did I trust Johnny to have my back when his man-mind did return? 'Yes,' I lied. 'He knows.'"* p 253

*Quick note: from my days of school I usually italicize quotes on TT, but since the first part of the quote was already italicized, I'm doing the opposite, for I thought that was how you were supposed to do it. But I could be wrong. Hence the reason why the format looks weird!

  5. Nice teaser! And I love the cover. I'll have to hit Goodreads to see what this one is about. *laughs* Guess that means you did your job, huh?

OT - I have the same question about how to denote speech in my TTs, since everything is a quote. I usually italicize the whole teaser, and only place quotation marks around actual speech. I never thought that it might confuse anyone. Something for me to keep in mind. LOL

Have a great Tuesday, and thanks for stopping by my teaser from Partials by Dan Wells.

  7. I was curious about the proper way to quote the quote too lol but my English is horrible. Never a strong subject for me in school which is sad since I love to read and write. Great quote though! Curious about where his man-mind went and when it will be back. Thanks for visiting My TT!
