Let's Discuss: Favorite Christmas Movies

Let's do some more Christmas discussions! Today I'm tackling Christmas Movies!!

Favorite Christmas Movies

Some of my all time favorite Christmas movies include:

A Christmas Story:

This is one of my all time favorite movies! I don't really remember how we came across it all those years ago. I just remember as a kid, my mom gave me and my sister the VHS, and let me tell you that was one trippy cover! LOL! It was just a hilarious movie as this kid basically tries to manipulate his parents to get the BB gun that he so desperately wants for Christmas! I love it! Though I haven't watched my DVD copy in years since it's pretty much always on Christmas Eve for 24 hours straight. And yest, I leave it on TV the entire day on Christmas day! LOL!

Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas:

Omg. This movie!!! I love this movie!! For whatever reason, I don't think I ever saw the original animated feature, but as a fan of Jim Carrey I HAD to see this one when it came out and it still makes me laugh myself to tears this day! I was actually watching it last weekend on Freeform as I was doing something or other in my room, and oh god, it's still hilarious!!! LOL!

Elf:

This is another movie that I die laughing every time I watch it! I love Will Farrell and have since his SNL days! This movie was hilarious! Seriously, when there are times I am feeling down, I will watch this movie or go on Youtube to watch this part where he screams SANNNNNTTA! OMG! I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM! Lol! It seriously has me it stitches EVERY time!!

Home Alone:

This is one I still need to rewatch! And I honestly like the sequel just as much! It's one of those rare movies that did well with a sequel in my opinion. Yes, the story is pretty much the same but with a few twists, but it's because there's that history of before that makes so many of the pranks Kevin pulls that much more enjoyable! Thinking I need to marathon this one soon!!

What are some of your favorite holiday movies? These are  my top five-ish since I'm lumping 2 Home Alone movies as one! Lol. I definitely gear towards the comedy movies for sure! I watched It's a Wonderful Life once and felt destroyed by it even with the happy ending. Lol.

  1. A Christmas Story is one of the few movies that I watch year after year. It's not Christmas until I have at least watched part of that movie. I saw the musical too. It was hilarious.

  3. We watched Elf and Home Alone (and Home Alone 2) this year. My husband loves A Christmas Story, and we used to watch it every year, but the kids weren't fans and they eventually rebelled. LOL!
