Stacking the Shelves--The Finale Part 3 Edition

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

Well I survived--barely--my second week of working downtown. Upside is that I had an interview with a staffing agency so hopefully some good will come from that. But omg, I had to do some online assessments and I totally bombed a few because of technical errors. Two keys the "s" and "t" literally would not work in a lowercase format, although I paused my test and tried it out on a word doc and they totally worked. I kept slamming them during the test and felt terrible afterwards. I did email the agency to let them know of the technical issue and why some of my test answers may show random capital letters because those worked! Lol. And then the multiple choice tests that I thought would be a breeze for Office programs was actually terrible! It was asking where to find the most obscure features and not just what would you click to get there, but every single step! And it's like, I DON'T KNOW!!! Can't I have the test where I actually just DO IT instead of having to tell you?? Yeesh. It was a stressful afternoon when I did that, let me tell you!

Oddly, I didn't add too many books to my palette this week, which is good, but I got quite a few other goodies that I am giddy about! And then I ordered a few more too while I was at it because why not?! Lol. I'll be sure to share those once they come in!

Here's what I bought:

Smoke and Key by Kelsey Sutton--I love a good ghost story and this one really caught my eye after reading a review or two!

Then my Goldsboro Finale arrived!! I was a bit surprised by how high my number was since I thought I bought it fairly early. Like within 30 minutes of receiving the email to buy the book before the general public could, but whatever! I'm just happy to have one for my collection! Guess maybe they just randomly grab copies when filling orders? I have no clue to be honest!

Finale by Stephanie Garber--SIGNED GOLDSBORO EDITION!

Then here are some of the bookish goodies I bought myself over the course of the past week or so:

NEW BOOKISH SHIRTS!! And I may or may not have bought a few more since the page I saved that had more of them had a sale that ended yesterday...

I debated heavily if I should buy Book Gizmo's Finale Box, I guess when it comes to certain items I really like to know what I am getting to make sure it's worth the cost. So I passed. But then she put a few extra sleeves up in her shop and I bought one quicker than you could blink! I loved the pattern and I did find a coupon code, so I saved even more! Lol.

While at B&N I found myself checking out the bookmarks as one does and I saw this one and it was just too cute and too true to pass up! I love the sparkly stars (you can't tell in this pic, but they sparkle!). I feel like this bookmark matches my shirt rather well too! :D

Then I got my part 2 to the Finale preorder gift, I actually forgot this was included with the Deck of Destiny! I'm sure to use it once I get an international copy that won't be signed...right away!

And then I got my first Illumicrate box and was pretty happy with it. I guess it's pretty clear which book was in it. I was one of the few who got shafted during the great Beakdown of the Goldsboro website when it came to ordering Aurora Rising. So I was happy to snag this one at least! It's gorgeous and I think I almost like it better than the Goldsboro, though purple is still my favorite color! Lol. I'll share content pictures at a later date, as per usual.

And then I ordered the remaining Caraval themed pins from Owl Crate! I honestly didn't know that there even was a Caraval and Legendary one until I saw a woman at the Stephanie Garber signing wearing a Legendary pin and I was like whoa! And then a few days later I got the email regarding the pins and quickly bought my remaining two! Good thing because I think they sold out entirely in less than 24 hours!

I also got the Illumicrate Pin of the Month since it was Caraval themed too! And as you can see, I covered it up, just in case a few other US peeps haven't gotten it yet! I think now I need to buy a new, smaller banner or circle thingy that displays pins so I can have one that's totally Caraval devoted! Yes, I am a geek and proud of it!!! :D

And that my friends, is it! So a pretty good week (for books and bookish goodies)! Only one book is really added to the TBR pile since I've read one and the other is a duplicate story, though not copy (LOL!) that I still need to read! What did you all get?

  1. I remember doing those assessments. Good times. I am sure you did better than you thought. Good luck. I hope a better opportunity comes out of it all. Until then, hang in there, and enjoy all your new bookish goodies.

  2. I hate when a test wants me to tell them how I do something because like you said it's easier to just do it...lol.

    Have a great week!

  4. I am more of a let me show you than telling you how type of person. That is very frustrating.
I hope you have a great week! :)

    1. I get the majority of them from Shirt.Woot.com

Every day there's a shirt of the day that's displayed. The weekends have a theme going the shirts displayed. Last week was books, naturally! ;)
