MY ANSWER: Hmm...I don't think I ever really thought about. I guess I prefer it if they were somewhat flawed. No one wants to read about Mr./Ms. Perfect everything. That's not relatable. I like it when I can relate to the main character in some way.
I also like it when they have a snarky kind of attitude. Characters who can laugh at themselves and just have that strong attitude where they won't be put down by others.
