This week's question is: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don’t like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.

MY ANSWER: Well, I guess Divergent counts. I don't usually read outside the paranormal or fantasy type genre. But I kept hearing soooo many great things about Divergent that I decided to pick it up at RT earlier this year. Already read it too and it was pretty good!

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

This week's question is: Comfort Reads: Which books do you go to for comfort & familiarity? Is there a type of book you seek out when you're needing that extra bit of comfort in your life?

MY ANSWER: Hmm...not really? I always love reading something new and as long as it fits into my genre or has something to spark an interest, I'll read it and be comfy! So I guess when I am exploring new ground--like I did with Divergent, I want to go back to reading something paranormal for a time. Or when I venture into my magic or psychic type mysteries--which still have a flare of supernatural--I will read a paranormal afterwards.

So I guess in short answer, I don't really have any specific book. Just books that fit into my genre. I got three to four mountain size TBR piles--one being on my Kindle--to get through and they are 99% books I chose myself. A few might be review copies that I didn't ask for or other books I won but sounded interesting enough that I kept them.
