Books from the Backlog #56

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread.  If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. This is a fun meme hosted by Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books.

Some secrets shouldn't be kept...

Up until three months ago, everything in sixteen-year-old Camelia's life had been fairly ordinary: decent grades; an okay relationship with her parents; and a pretty cool part-time job at the art studio downtown. But when Ben, the mysterious new guy, starts junior year at her high school, Camelia's life becomes anything but ordinary.

Rumored to be somehow responsible for his ex-girlfriend's accidental death, Ben is immediately ostracized by everyone on campus. Except for Camelia. She's reluctant to believe the rumors, even when her friends try to convince her otherwise. She's inexplicably drawn to Ben and to his touch. But soon, Camelia is receiving eerie phone calls and strange packages with threatening notes. Ben insists she is in danger, and that he can help-but can he be trusted? She knows he's hiding something... but he's not the only one with a secret.

From the best-selling author of Blue is for Nightmares comes a story of paranormal romance that's sure to be a thrilling and chilling teen favorite.

I added Laurie Faria Stolarz's Deadly Little Secret to my TBR in March of 2015! I had read her Blue is For Nightmares series ages ago and I wasn't a "savvy" reader then and didn't have the knowledge of "following" authors. This was before my social media my friends, dark ages. Lol. So I never knew when an author had a new book out until I came across it on the shelves. Well, I came across this series super late as I found this at HPB. Then that same day or very nearly, I found the entire series there as well, so one thing led to another and I bought them all! Lol. And yet, the series still remains on my TBR. I really ought to pick it up soon as I loved her first series and I expect this one to be just as amazing!
