This week's question is: What is the best book you’ve read in the last month? What is the worst book you’ve read in the last month?
MY ANSWER: Really, I can only pick 1?! Okay, I suppose one of the most recent books I read and totally LOVED was Darynda Jones's First Grave on the Right! Totally loved it from cover to cover!
This second bit is hard, because I haven't read a book that I would deem "the worst". More so that it just wasn't a total fave from cover to cover. Still a fave and a good one, I bought it after reading the ARC after all. That book was A Sliver of Shadow. I guess it was hard to get back into the zone of things since it's been a year since I read the first one. At times there were a few slow moments as well. But still it's a good read! Gave it 4/5 stars! So again, I haven't really read a book that cane be called "the worst".

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.
This week's question is: Social Networking: Do you use Twitter or Facebook to promote your blog? How has it benefited your book blogging experience? If not, how do you promote your blog? Share your twitter handle and/or Facebook link!
MY ANSWER: I am actually probably one of the very few who doesn't do social networking. Facebook/My Space has never been my thing. My friends don't get why...everyone does it! Me, I just don't care for it. Nothing ultimately personal. I'd rather just run my blog. As for Twitter, I haven't joined that band wagon, because I really don't know what I would tweet.
What does a book blogger tweet? That's what I would use it for anyway. (Seriously, if someone could give me some idea, I might actually sign up for one!)
As to how do I promote my blog? Well, I just visit lots of other blogs! When visiting I leave my URL link in my signature and hope that people find me that way. Or another great way is to join in on the Giveaway hops that many other blogs host! Joining in on those do gain some visits! I've gained a lot of new followers that way and have followed new blogs that way myself.
oooh I've picked up First Grace On the Right multiple times but haven't gotten to reading it. Guess I should! Hope you have a good Friday and thanks for stopping by my FF :)

ReplyDeleteI usually don't have one that's the "worst" read either but I just recently read Dark Lover and unfortunately it earned that label. I will have to look up First Grave on the Right, never heard of it before. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I love Twitter because it's so easy to use. I have it set up on my Blackberry and use it to tweet my blog posts or any other book-related news stories I come across. I also have it linked to my Goodreads account, so that automatically tweets my reading progress updates.

I have actually never heard of those books. I might have to check up what 'First Grave on the right' is about.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower! :)

No worst book? Awesome for you :)) I wish I could say the same *sigh*
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Follow Friday!
Haven't had the chance to read First Grave on the Right yet, but I am definitely checking it out soon! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOld follower! :)
I don't use Twitter much anymore because I don't have the time - but I know people use it to automatically post their blog posts, to follow & interact with other bloggers & with authors. I wish I could use it more - but like you - I comment a helluva lot on blogs - I might try some giveaway hops since you've had success but I'm a bit hesitant ... I don't even accept ARC's.

I thought I was the only person that didn't use facebook or twitter. I think it's kind of silly. I want to be able to establish my blog without any of that stuff. Im glad I found another blogger that was able to do it too.

I was reluctant to join the Twitter party. I still don't really use it a lot. Mostly for promoting other giveaways (extra entries and stuff) and I post links to my blog posts. I have to say, those links get a lot of clicks! I don't really talk to many people on there -- I'm not a very social person lol.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday =)
Noce pick, I love them both too!
ReplyDeleteI read First Grave on the Right a while ago and loved it. Such a treat. Fun, yet not too silly. Awesome plot, too.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read A Silver of Shadow.
Happy Friday!

First Grave on the Right didn't interest me at first, but so many people keep going on about how much they loved it... I might have to try it. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :) I just got Alison Pang's book, lets hope it's good.

ReplyDeleteWaiting For Wentworth
I totally understand! It took me forever to get on the Twitter band wagon and I just go on there to enter giveaways mostly. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI like the book cover on First Grave. Also, I agree w/the social networking. I don't have any of those (facebook, twitter etc.)just my blog which is a huge techy step for me. I don't even have texting on my cellphone. I just think it is not for me either...you are not alone! Have a great weekend.,,,
ReplyDeleteFirst Grave on the Right does look really good! As for what to tweet - tweet anything :) What you're reading, random thoughts that come to you...I've seen all sorts of things tweeted from blog accounts :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend :)

I love me some facebook but sometimes I wish that I had never started because it is so addicting. I do have a facebook page for my blog. Mainly to post links.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my page!
I abso love her and her books! I just did an Author Spotlight on my blog. Stop by and check it out. Oh, did you see the short story she put up a couple of days ago about Reyes? Swing by her site and read it. It's really good!
