This week's question is: How have your reading habits changed in the
past few years? Did you get interested in a new genre? Do you read
more? Less? Why do you think your habits changed, if they did.
MY ANSWER: My reading habits have changed a bit. Before I would always only read paranormals and the occasional fantasy, which has magic and in a sense is paranormal! So yeah, now I read a couple of dystopians and the occasional thriller--Gretchen McNeil! These reads have practically NO paranormal traits and yet, they were freaking awesome!
I still read about the same as well!
Why that changed? Why from my blogging friends' recommendations of course!

I'm glad you're starting to step out of your box a bit, Jessica! There are just so many great books out there! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Friday!!
I like mixing up what genres I read, I used to only read paranormal but now I read pretty much everything :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that author but I have seen her book Possess around and Ten..I think she is someone I need to read!!! :) Old follower stopping by. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time stepping out of the box when I read. I prefer fantasy or some form of fantasy. Real life stories are hard for me to enjoy. The only difference I can think of for myself is that I actually read a book that had no love interest evolve. I actually loved the book. I like that you have been able to step out of the box to read thrillers. I'm a scaredy-cat and not sure I would make it through a thriller!
ReplyDeleteOld follower! I do not have a FF this week but I did review a book which was really good!
Heather @ Ya Fantasy Book Junkie
Yeah, blogger recommendations definitely affect me as well. Even if there's a book in a genre I usually HATE, if I get enough good recommendations for it, I'll still try it out. Great point. :D Thanks for stopping by my post. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I really need to read Gretchen McNeil's books. she's been on my list for years.
ReplyDeleteMy FF
I also get more excited about more genres. But I will always stick at fantasy. :D

ReplyDeleteI love taking a chance on a new genre or author and it's even better when the book becomes a new favourite. It opens up so many possibilities for new books =)
