This week's topic is: Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read
*in no particular order
These are a mix of authors, some in genres I just don't read and others in my genre but still haven't read either way. Can't believe how hard this was!
1. Suzanne Collins
2. James Patterson
3. Lauren Oliver
4. Ally Condie
5. Veronica Rossi--although I keep debating about starting her trilogy!
6. Dan Wells
7. Laurell K. Hamilton
8. Katie McGarry
9. Cassandra Clare
10. Jodi Picoult--although Between the Lines is still on my TBR pile and will likely be the only book I ever read by her. (Unless she and her daughter write a sequel!)
There are quite a few Authors on this list I haven't read too, Cassandra Clare & Suzanne Collins being Two of them! I have recently read Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver and enjoyed it :) Great list!
ReplyDeleteNo Jodi Picoult?!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read.
You've never read The Hunger Games?!
ReplyDeleteThere are soooo many here that you need to read! Suzanne Collins, LAUREN OLIVER, Dan Wells :D ahhh I hope you get to them soon!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT :)
Oh I LOVE Cassandra Clare and Katie McGarry's books are amazing too! I'm debating starting Rossi's trilogy as well one of these days.
ReplyDeleteTeresa @ Readers Live A Thousand Lives
I haven't read most of these authors, but I will say that Suzanne Collins made me realize I can enjoy dystopian fiction. I don't want to read it on a regular basis--my daughter is big into Divergent and The Maze Runner--but an occasional dystopian is good for me.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Clare so I can learn what the fuss is all about.
Thanks for visiting The Book Connection.
I will say Suzanne Collins is one of my favorite authors! I would definitely give her books a chance, because she knows what she is doing. Please check out my TTT
ReplyDeleteNice teaser, I'm going to check this book out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day, too, Jessica :)
I've never read any of Jodi Picoult's YA books, but I do enjoy many of her other titles--The Pact is one of my favorite novels.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one with Suzanne Collins on their list! It's nice to know I'm not alone.
ReplyDeleteI've actually only read one of these authors (Oliver), and I didn't really love the book I read. Sometimes I miss out on something wonderful by not reading an author, and sometimes there is a reason why I skipped them...
My list.
Kimberly
Everyone's list has shocked me this week! You haven't read a lot of dystopia, huh? I've actually only read Suzanne Collins, though. The Hunger Games is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOoh, you GOTTA read Dan Wells, Veronica Rossi, Katie McGarry, and Cassandra Clare. All awesome! And I totally love that teaser. So funny!
ReplyDeleteMy TTTMy Teaser
I've read two authors from your list Suzanne Collins b/c of The Hunger Games (which is awesome) and Cassandra Clare, which she basically should be on my list b/c I've only read one book from her two series, City of Bones and that's all I wanted to read. Everyone says I should keep reading, but I just lost interest.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT @ Book Hangovers Blabs Books
John Grisham and Lauren Oliver is on my list, they're just numbers 11 and 12 lol
ooh, are you just not a dystopian fan? I'm guilty of loving Collins, Oliver, and Condie just from devouring different dystopian books! I just love Lauren Oliver as a person, too, she is so funny and sweet!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT!
There are so many authors I haven't read. We have one author in common on our post. :) Laurell K. Hamilton.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I have read quite a lot of these - Collins, Oliver, Condie, Wells, McGarry and Picoult. I love Jodi Picoult and own every book but I really hated Between The Lines if I am honest, it's my least favourite out of all her books. I hope you can cross off some of these authors soon :)
ReplyDeleteI love your teaser today, Jessica! And I'm happy to say I have read three of the authors on your list :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading.

If there is a must read for me on your list it is Katie McGarry! Her books are so amazing! I LOVE them! I have also been debating Veronica Rossi. I will get around to it I'm sure. Great List!

Great teaser! This was a great insight to Levi's mind. Hope you enjoy. Thank you for stopping by. :)
ReplyDeleteNice teaser! Nice to see someone so cocky meet his match. I share a couple of your authors too. I haven't read Jodi Piccoult, Veronica Rossi or Dan Wells either. Nor have I read John Green or Sarah Dessen. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteNice tease. Seems like he was left a little disappointed.
ReplyDeleteKatie McGarry and Cassandra Clare are two of my favorite authors.
Happy Tuesday and happy reading.
I'm not the only one who hasn't read Cassandra Clare!
ReplyDeleteLove that tease, Jessica! I think I have First on my kindle...gonna have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI think the only authors on your list that I haven't read are Oliver, Condie, Rossi and Wells. That's a fun list to think about though!
You're teaser is great! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI know...I haven't read a lot of great authors. It was sad huh? I loved The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins and James Patterson is one of my favorite authors! I've only read a couple Picoult books and I've liked them so I plan on reading more of hers too. Like I said though, my TBR pile is WAY too high! Thanks for stopping by!
There is a couple on your list you seriously need to read. The Hunger Games is a well worth read and I like Mortal Instruments too. I actually think you would like that series.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you haven't read the hunger games. I was pretty shocked to see Suzanne on the list!! I haven't read Katie McGarry yet either but I really want to. I've heard such good things about her!!
ReplyDeleteOld follower!
Here's my TTT
Amber @ Paradise of Pages
I've read all but 3 on your list. Some I'm a little surprised you haven't read yet, but I guess they're more dystopian than paranormal. Thanks for visiting my TTT,
ReplyDelete*Snickers* You play hard to get girl!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanx for visiting my TT
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
Oh my god!! You didn't read anything by Cassandra Clare???
ReplyDeleteYou should!! You really should reading them. The mortal instruments and the Infernal devices. They are soooo good! One of my favorites!!
I've read Katie McGarry, Jodi Picoult and Ally Condie - but I haven't read any of the others. So many great books, so many great authors - not enough time. :) Great list!
ReplyDeleteOMG you have to read Lauren Oliver! She's amazing! Thanks for stopping by my post :)
ReplyDeleteHeh, good teaser. I've read two of the authors you haven't read, Cassandra Clare and Suzanne Collins, and have James Patterson in Mount TBR. My teaser: Home for the Homicide
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Veronica Rossi and I would love to check her work out! Katie McGarry and Cassandra Clare are freaking awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
What is this I'm seeing? You haven't read The Hunger Games? Oh, you must! And I haven't read any of the others on your list as well, but I'm most looking forward to reading Jodi Picoult's books. She sounds amazing!
