Now, to me, it sounded like you all were "mentally" adding it to your list. I do that a lot as well!
But I thought, if they actually have the book on them...they might read it sooner! You know, if they have the book, they will read it! (if you build it, they will come)
So I decided that I want to help 1 lucky reader/blogger/person out there get that book into their physical TBR mountain, so that they might read it even sooner! This seriously was like one of my all time favorites! I re-read a couple of times because it had everything I wanted in a read and it just blew me away!
Jarrod Thornton is mesmerizing, but Kate Warren doesn't know why.
The moment the new guy walks into the room, Kate senses something strange and intense about him. Something supernatural. Her instincts are proven correct a few minutes later when, bullied by his classmates, Jarrod unknowingly conjures up a freak thunderstorm "inside" their classroom.
Jarrod doesn't believe in the paranormal. When Kate tries to convince him that he has extraordinary powers that need to be harnessed, he only puts up with her "hocus pocus" notions because he finds her captivating. However, the dangerous, uncontrolled strengthening of his gift finally convinces Jarrod that he must take Kate's theories seriously. Together, they embark on a remarkable journey -- one which will unravel the mystery that has haunted Jarrod's family for generations and pit the teens against immense forces in a battle to undo the past and reshape the future.
Here's the cover that the Book Depository has up, I would showcase the original, but seems fitting to show off what you will likely be getting if you win! It's pretty cool, as this ring plays a small part in the book. And no, not wedding bells, thank God! Too many teenagers having sex in books, it's best not to have them getting married either! (although I do admit to enjoying it when it happens, usually because the amazing author, *coughs*JLA*coughs* builds it up so you want the characters together forever in that way!)
You know the drill, standard Rafflecopter giveaway below. As long as the Book Depository ships to you, you're in! The giveaway will be up for a week and then a winner will be chosen!

I like premise, Jessica. That Jarrod doesn't believe in hocus-pocus and only puts up with Kate because he finds her attractive is funny. And it sounds like the story then gets intense. :) Thanks for the giveaway, dear!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I have heard of OLD MAGIC, but it sounds most interesting.
