Jane Nickerson's The Mirk and Midnight Hour has been on my TBR pile since March of 2014! I loved her Strands of Bronze and Gold, a twisted Bluebeard retelling and have been wanting to read this one for the same twisted fairy tale retelling reasons as well! Upon writing this post, I just learned a third book was included! I don't believe these stories were ever connected, but I am now going back to look up what that third book was about that released in 2017!
