Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality

Well, another week has come and gone! More nothingness...nothing exciting happened, nothing good or bad. So pretty mellow. This week I have a book signing, finally! Lol! I know I had one at the beginning of the month, but I am excited to go back out again! This week I will be seeing Marie Lu and I will finally get the rest of my book collection signed by her! Really just down to 2 UK copies I must have left behind on my last YALLFest trip, plus one of the bonus After Legend stories! I had gotten 1 signed, but not 2, so I figured why not?! I'm also pretty much thinking of attending another signing in May, once again for a SUUUUUUPER popular romance author, but who happened to write a YA book I rather enjoyed...so yeah...I think I might go for craziness and attend! I didn't do too bad with Tessa Bailey last time around, so I might be able to do this one with somewhat ease! Just have to buy the book I don't want, as it's contemporary, but is essentially my ticket to the signing line for "other" books as this one I have to buy will be signed ahead of time. So yeah, whatever! Lol.

I almost thought I would be getting no books this week, but then I met up with my sister for dinner this week and got that book and one of my B&N preorders came earlier than anticipated, so I got books!

THANK YOU Rockstar Book Tours & Disney-Hyperion!

Then I got this month's Owl Crate box for the first time since...September? Lol. The prior books didn't sound like ones I would like, or even if they did the fandoms involved weren't my fandoms--I have a whole post coming on this tomorrow--so I have been skipping the box lately, and also for financial reasons since shipping has gone way up. One monthly box comes to $50+! Just over $50, but it's crazy!

This time the book sounded interesting once I saw what it was AND there was a OUABH pin involved, so I was pretty much sold! This was also mentioned in their posts about this month's box, so not calling it a spoiler since they basically tell us what fandom the pin is now. The rest of the fandoms were not mine naturally, and the items are not ones to be used in public for that reason--again, I have a whole post that will explain my reasoning! There was one item that I will use at home easy peasy like, but then there is one item that is my fandom but the item itself is not of great quality for it's intended use.

So if I haven't totally confused you with all that talk, here is the cardboard box picture, with no spoilers!

Then I received my last 2022 preorder incentive AND a few 2023 ones!

My pin for The Luminaries

THANK YOU Tor Teen!

Then my favorite preorder gift of the week:

My OUABH paperback page overlays! They are GORGEOUS!! I cannot wait for my copies to arrive so I can take pics with them and their books!

THANK YOU Flatiron Books!

Then I received an art print and signed bookplate from Megan Van Dyke for helping promote the new cover of The Alice Curse! I can't wait to read this series!

THANK YOU Megan Van Dyke!

And finally my last acquirement for the week was a Fairy Loot print I bought off of Mercari! I finally found one for a decent price! To think I was looking at other sellers who were selling it for twice as much! I figure it was about the price I could see Fairy Loot charging should it make it into the Fairy Trove and with shipping either the same or more, depending...that I got a good deal!

I only ever regret changing to the book only option when there's a Caraval/OUABH item in the box! It's crazy! But luckily I know there's resellers and I can eventually find it for the right price!

And that was it for me this week! What did you get?
