Friday Hops

This blogger hop was created by Jennifer at Crazy for Books.

Here are the rules:
1. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below (be sure to include how long you've been blogging and what genres you review!). If you post about the Hop on your blog, please link directly to your Hop post (don't forget to answer this week's question - see below!).
2. Visit other blogs in the Linky List! Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
3. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
4. In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!):

“What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?”
(Note: I’m putting one caveat on this question. You aren’t allowed to say the Bible, Torah, Qur’an, or other religious/spiritual text.)

MY ANSWER: The longest book I've ever read was The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The full version, not the abridged. According to Goodreads its 1276 pages long! Although I believe some of those pages are the "opening" ones and don't have the story on it, but still over a 1000 pages long! Read it the summer before I started college since I read the abridged version in high school and ended up loving it for some weird reason!

This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.

This week's question is: If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

MY ANSWER: Hmm, I would love to be any of the kick-ass heroine that I read about! They are always fun loving gals! And snarky, have great besties at their sides and a total hottie to go with! Just about any of the urban fantasy heroines that I read from would be who I want to be.

But I guess in terms of being myself I would want to be friends with Jessie from the 13 to Life series! I loved her character, but yet there were times I wanted to bop her upside the head and ask her what she was doing? Of course I couldn't have Pieter, but Max would still be available! Or course I would have to be transformed into a teenager as well, since I'm being magically put into the series that shouldn't be a problem though!

  9. The Count of Monte Cristo sounds exhausting! I quite liked the film version with Jim Caviezel, though.

  11. Longest book hmmm. Maybe one of Stephen Kings. Hard to remember exactly how long a book is. I do remember it took me awhile to get through The Stand though.
I have 13 to Life on my TBR. I love the cover of it and I am always up for snarky.
