Review--Supernaturally by Kiersten White

Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

A one day read! Hurrah! Kiersten White's Supernaturally was one helluva thrill ride! I forgot how much I love Evie! She can be a total girly-girl with her love of pink and her Tasey but she still has spunk!

This time around Evie is dealing with one particular problem that consumes her nearly constantly--high school. But still, Evie does enjoy parts of high school, definitely not gym class, but her locker is super awesome! Ha ha.

Hard not to add in some of Evie's humor while writing this review! Anyways as the cover description says Evie goes back to work for the IPCA because she has to admit to herself, she does enjoy the job at times. She didn't like the hurting of innocent supernaturals, but the IPCA has taken on a new way of working, not entirely different but gaining more morals and values that Evie can except as she begins working for them again. She loves seeing Raquel again especially for she was a mother figure for Evie.

A new character who comes into Evie's life is Jack. He works for the IPCA as well and becomes Evie's unofficial partner sort of. Jack is quite the character too. Very sarcastic and just plain wild! He's quite the jokester! He and Evie make a sort of great team, when he can decide to be serious that is.

Things are complicated though for Evy, for she still has some self-discovery to do. And there is some of that in here, although she has some unwanted help from Reth on that front.

There were some shocking surprises along the way, one at the end I really didn't see coming. Took me completely by surprise too! I so cannot wait to read Endlessly next year for more of Evie's story!

Overall rating 4/5 stars
