Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!
I had a pretty good week. I was trying not to buy any books this month other than the few releases that I was aware of, well that didn't happen! I not only got review books, but B&N had the buy 2 get the 3rd free sale and I went at it! Only bought 2 and got the 3rd free one for my mom to save for Xmas!
Here's what I bought:
The Red Plague Affair by Lilith Saintcrow
Charming by Elliot James
Beginnings by Jennifer L. Armentrout*
Consequences by Jennifer L. Armentrout*
*I bought the hardcovers, which are nice, but they are NOT sparkly! So it's likely at some point I will buy the paperback ones, but trying to figure some things out first before I go buy them!
Then for review from the pubs via Netgalley I got:
Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen (ARC)
Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini (ARC)
Thanks Thomas Dunne Books, Feiwel & Friends, Scholastic Press & Netgalley!!
And then after spending all the money at RT--really just the hotel bill since I put it all on my credit card--I got this beauty:
$25 gift card to Barnes & Noble
And that was my haul this week! What did you get?
YAY for the new Lux editions! I'm actually not a huge fan of them, but I do love the books. The original covers were better, in my opinion D: I see you have Sinner - I know how popular that series is! I haven't read anything since Shiver, which I didn't love. Hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Yay for Sinner, Jessica! You have a very yummy haul this week :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat books! I can't wait to read the Lux books! Have fun reading them! It's never wise to resist a great sale :).
ReplyDeleteNice haul - Red Plague Affair and Charming both look interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my Stacking the Shelves.
Oh I have Lilith's book here and soooo need to get to reading it. :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh you got the Lux books! They're so pretty!! And so thick! LOL! Enjoy your new goodies!!
ReplyDeleteIt sucks that the hardcovers didn't have the fancy cover. You'd think if any format would be the fanciest, it would be the hardcover. I mean, those things cost more to the reader to obtain than the other formats.

I was really mixed by Charming I confess but I hope you'll love your books! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYay for the Jennifer L. Armentrout books. I like when you put them together they have a face. A Giftcard is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteoh wow didn't know there are hardcovers for the bind ups for the lux series! I personally prefer non-sparkly :P and Sinner!! I loved the wolves of mercy falls trilogy and can't wait for this one

ReplyDeletered plague affair looks good!! enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYAY for Lux Beginnings and Lux Consequences. I didn't know the paperback ones were sparkly. They are so pretty, but yeah, I would definitely want a sparkly copy too! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Nice- nothing better than gift cards you can use on books! And you got some great looking ones this week already. Hope you enjoy them :)
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first book of the Lux series. I need to catch up. I requested Sinner too but I haven't been approved (yet, I hope!) Hope you enjoy reading your books!

ReplyDeleteAwesome haul, Jessica! I really, really want to get my hands on Sinner as well. I hope you'll enjoy that one, and your other new books as well.

I got the sparkly Lux cover at BEA and I thought it was so pretty! Too bad they didn't make the hardcovers sparkly too. I really want to read Stiefvator's books, and I was tempted to go request Sinner from NetGalley, but I haven't read the original series yet, so I'm showing self-control and holding off. :-)
