Books from the Backlog #26

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread.  If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. This is a meme hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books!

The blockbuster film Inception meets Lisa McMann's Wake trilogy in this dark paranormal thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Aprilynne Pike. This supernatural young adult novel is perfect for fans of Kelley Armstrong, Alyson Noël, Richelle Mead, and Kimberly Derting.

Charlotte Westing has a gift. She is an Oracle and has the ability to tell the future. But it doesn't do her much good. Instead of using their miraculous power, modern day Oracles are told to fight their visions––to refrain from interfering. And Charlotte knows the price of breaking the rules. She sees it every day in her wheelchair-bound mother and the absence of her father. But when a premonition of a classmate's death is too strong for her to ignore, Charlotte is forced to make an impossible decision: continue following the rules or risk everything—even her sanity—to stop the serial killer who is stalking her town.

Funny story with this one! I had bought Sleep No More before heading to RT 2014 where Aprilynne would be in attendance. But when I got to her signing line that day I could not find my book in my bag! Freaking out I just decided to buy a copy at her table. Then later that afternoon when I returned to my room, what do I find in my "got it signed before Saturday" pile? This very book! So yeah...I ended up with two copies and when I did my return giveaway this went into it! Lol! I still reallllllly want to read this one because I love a good mystery involving a psychic!

***Side note, really thinking I need to bring my photo albums out of my storage unit because I'm always wanting to refer back to them for some reason or another to confirm event dates and such and I never have them for these moments! Lol.
