This week's question is: Back to school. Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you’ll be teaching this semester.
MY ANSWER: Oooh toughie!
Well let's just throw some titles out there! Not sure how we could make these be educationally appropriate, but whatev's!
I call it: A Study of Urban Fantasy:
Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (Vampires)
Once Bitten (Shifters and Vampire)
Haunted by Tamara Thorne (Ghosts)
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning (The Fae)
And for the YA crowd: The Beginning of Paranormal YA
The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by L.J. Smith (Vampires)
Old Magic by Marianne Curley (Magic & Time Traveling)
Demon in My View by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (Vampires)
The Forbidden Game Trilogy by L.J. Smith (Pure Creepiness!--Not sure what to say!)
Mine are necessarily education appropriate either, but I'm with you... What the heck!! Love your choices too.... we need Urban Fantasy to survive, just in case!!

I really want to read Darkfever after hearing such amazing things! To bad the classes you listed aren't actual options *pouts*
ReplyDeleteGreat list and thanks for stopping by! :)
Haha, what fun choices! I'm sure you can make it somewhat appropriate. After all, judging by the cover some of them look to be from the 80s or 90s...that's classic right? JK *ducks*

Although some of those are great choices, for some reason I don't think they would get past the school board! There are several on there I need to read, and a few I really enjoyed. Thanks for visiting my FFF.
