The idea of Wreck-It Ralph came from Rich Moore who made his directing debut with this film. He wanted to portray how video game characters had no free will, that they were programmed to do the same thing over and over again. An early working title was Reboot Ralph.

Apparently there was at least 12 minutes of footage cut from The Black Cauldron. This came about in part when there was an addition to the production team, and basically thinking that some parts were a little too scary for young audiences.

  1. Interesting facts! I still need to watch Wreck-It Ralph. The Black Cauldron is a darker movie so I can definitely believe that they had to cut some parts.
