Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

This week was nothing special. It was a harrowing day yesterday as I was waiting for my Owl Crate to arrive. I was almost spoiled for it twice and was freaking out when the mail arrived sans Owl Crate. Thankfully it came though...just a little later. Sadly, though, it left me very underwhelmed after I was really pumped for a Strange and Unusual box of goodies. I am contemplating selling it, so if there's any interest, be sure to send me an email. I'll likely post something on twitter tomorrow.

Here's what I bought:

Campfire by Shawn Sarles--keeper copy and OMG this book is gorgeous! The fire is all metallicy!!
The Unfortunates by Kim Liggett
Competence by Gail Carriger

Then I splurged...yet again...on a few more Japanese books!

Legendary by Stephanie Garber--I couldn't resist buying this one! I need help! Lol!
Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder
Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder--when ordering Legendary, I decided to buy the other two books to Maria's first trilogy! I probably won't collect all of them...well...maybe...we'll see! LOL!

Then from the publisher for review I received:

Wild Hunger by Chloe Neill (Early Copy)

THANK YOU Berkely Books!

Then in a trade on the booksfortrade hashtag I received:

Part of Your World by Liz Braswell (ARC)

THANK YOU Deborah!!

And then I finally received the book sleeve I ordered from Love You More Studio! Wasn't expecting such a long turn around since it was one of the clearance items, but I guess it still had to be made. It's my first time ordering from them, but the pattern was just too pretty to pass up on!

It just looked so pretty and magical...I had to have it!!
Then a few of my Prime Day purchases were:
Hey Arnold: The Complete Series DVD
Beetlejuice: The Complete Series DVD--we changed our TV provider and now all the networks I used to watch are on the premium tier that we don't subscribe to. So I decided to buy some cartoons to watch mindlessly when none of my other shows are on! Yes. I am an adult and I still love to watch cartoons! I get it from my grandpa! :D

Then I ordered two more bookish t-shirts from Shirt.Woot! It was somewhat in line with the Prime Day sales as I guess Amazon plays a role in this website! These two images had me cracking up and agreeing SOOO much!

I think I might have had a tote bag of the one on the left, but I don't recall it having the text on the bottom with the extra notes! Lol! These shirts were SOOO me, so I had to have them!!

And finally the box that caused so much anxiety...

Again, contemplating selling this one, still debating over it but leaning towards selling. If you're interested, please do send an email (US addresses only!)! I'll likely make an official offer on twitter come Monday!

And that was my haul this week! What did you all get this week?

  4. I was also not thrilled with the owl crate box this last month. I stopped my subscription. I just don't see the value added when all there was were a few dollar store items, plus a book I was not excited to read. I tried Owl Crate for two months, really liking it the first time. Oh well. Have a great week.

  5. Sorry you aren't all that thrilled with your Owlcrate box. I did a surprise box for a month and was disappointed and don't plan to sign up for one again. I do love your t-shirts! I have a copy of Wild Hunger to read soon as well. Have a great week!
