The Harry Potter Honoring the Dead Book Tag

I saw this tag at Fiction No Chaser and thought it looked like a lot of fun! It was originally created at Books in the Skye

*I also borrowed this super cute picture from Fiction No Chaser, the second image is from Wikipedia, and the third image comes Books in the Skye!

Here are the rules:

Thank the person who tagged you (and paste these rules)
Show your House pride
Tag 7 people

Well, since I wasn't really tagged by anyone I just mentioned above who I saw this tag at and where it came from before that! And I am pretty sure they were the ones to create it too, but not 100% on that now that I look over the post again...

House Pride...wonder beyond wonders, I was sorted in:

Could there BE a harder question?! I had this narrowed down to four initially. And then it basically came down to me choosing the first death that had me in tears and naturally that was Sirius. I cried like a baby from the getgo in the final book. But with Sirius I was always soooooo sad that when Harry finally found family, he lost it. I mean, it ate me up reading Sirius' death. I had to read it twice because I swore I read it wrong. So yes, I'd bring back Sirius...followed by Hedwig, because that's like killing the dog, which is a no-no!

Sirius Black – A book with the best father/mother figure

Kellie Swartz--Katy's mom from the Lux series! I loved this mother! She was pretty much perfect and awesome and the coolest parent ever. It's hard to find parents in most YA books, especially good ones!

Severus Snape – A book with a redeemable character

Nathaniel--a character from the Black Wings series. Just wow! I sooooo didn't expect Nathaniel to become such a great guy! The definition of redeemable character right here!

Albus Dumbledore – A book with a great mentor/teacher

Ari & Janco--from the Study series. Because you can't have one without the other! Ari and Janco were an amazing set of teachers for Yelena and naturally, became incredible friends! They both taught her quite a lot when it came to self-defense and training and whatnot! Janco might be a little unorthodox at times, but that's what makes him so lovable!

Hedwig – A book with a great animal sidekick

Grimalkin--from The Iron Fey series and truly the greatest cait sith ever!! His sardonic attitude totally had me smitten! I love that little guy!

Dobby – A book with a character who created bad scenes on accident.

Tink--from the Wicked series. Let's face it, there's no character greater than Tink who has the bad habit of making a scene!

Fred Weasley – A book with your favorite brother/sister duo.

Nik & Ella--from The Illuminae Files. I honestly struggled to think of a brother/sister or sibling duo. I know there are some, but for the life of me nothing came to mind that screamed "best duo ever!" Nik and Ella were cousins though and that's close enough because they were close! And seriously, if Ella was on you side, your team would rock!!

Nymphadora Tonks – A book with the best family feud.

Xifeng & Jade--from Rise of the Empress duology. I mean how dysfunctional can you get when your stepmother wants to kill you? Plus you have to add in that poor Xifeng didn't have a great relationship with her mother. It created quite the nasty cycle! Can't wait to see what Jade's story will be like later this year!

Cedric Diggory – A book where a character died too young/too soon

XXXXXX--from the Something Strange and Deadly trilogy. Yeah, 4 years later and I am still not over. Not even capable of typing the name! I also wasn't entirely sure if it was wise or okay to say the name because it's only been 4 years. It's a dilemma. Yet if you've read the series already, you KNOW who I'm talking about.

Remus Lupin – A book with your favorite shapeshifter

Riley--from the Intertwined series aka the series that NEVER should've been cancelled! Yup, still NOT OVER IT! Riley was probably one of the first werewolves I read about in the YA world...who wasn't a girl because yeah, Vivian from Blood & Chocolate was probably my first werewolf from the YA world! Riley was the first guy and oh. My. God. I loved this boy! He was so swoony and I can't even remember how too old I was when I read this book but man...so yeah, he's still one of my favorite YA guys!

For an adult pick, I'd have to go with Clay from Bitten because swoon! Lol! I've a thing for werewolves despite vampires being my first love! My vampire pick naturally, is Bones! To likely be updated to Ian by November! ;)

I'm not much of a tagger when it comes to these things! I know how time consuming they can be and if you don't have the time, I don't like nagging people that they were tagged or whatever! So I shall tag all of you!! Lol! If you're reading this post and feel like taking a spin at it, consider yourself tagged!!

  3. Oh, I agree that the question about who you'd bring back from the dead is just plain impossible! I'd probably choose Dumbledore, but it would be really tough.
