This week's question is: Do you think listening to an audiobook instead of reading the print version makes it more difficult to write a review? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews

MY ANSWER: For me? Yes. I'm sort of a visual person. I guess if I were listening to book, I'd have to have complete silence. Sit down with a notebook and just listen. I would not be able to do anything else and I'd have to pause a LOT to write down my review notes. I'd likely have to go online a few times to check the spelling of names and places in the book (most especially if this was a fantasy). It would just be too difficult for me. Even when I'm listening to music in the car I find my mind drifting and only about 30% of my attention is on the song and lyrics and what not.

So for me, a thousand times yes. Listening to an audiobook would make writing the review extremely hard! Again, that's most especially if it's a fantasy read or a book filled with obscure names and terms. It would definitely drain my enjoyment of reading. Therefore, I just stick to print books...and the occasional ebook.
