Random Thursday

We're still in the thick of things of the sports chapter in True Facts That Sound Like Bull$#*t by Shane Carley. I estimate about 4 weeks left in this chapter before we move onto the next topic. I've never been a sportsfan so I'm finding this chapter a little dull, but it's still mildly interesting at least.

Did you know that the NFL was in court for 2 years battling a team over the air pressure in footballs? NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell took the New England Patriots to court over an alleged air pressure infraction. Apparently, the NFL could not prove that the Patriots cheated in the first place, but that didn't stop Goodell from punishing the team.

Ah, so that was Flate Gate I assume! Lol.

Having negative yardage in a football game is typical. Sacks can count as negative passing yardage and players can run backwards after catching the ball. It's happened many times. The lowest passing yardage total in history was in 1967 when the Denver Broncos passed -57 yards against the Oakland Raiders.
