Top 5 Sundays

Top 5 Sundays is a weekly blog meme created by Larissa at Larissa's Bookish Life.

Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.

Rules:
1 - Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.
2 - Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.
3 - Feel free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)
4 - After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.
5 – If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)

This week's topic is: Favorite Re-Told Fairytales

*in no particular order

NOCTURNE
by Syrie James

I see this one as a definite retelling of Beauty and the Beast! It very much was a romantic story with a vampire twist.

SNOW
by Tracy Lynn

One of my absolute favorite retellings! Obviously this one was Snow White! One of the few books I actually reread several times! There was a whole line of fairytale retellings in this series, Once Upon a Time, all by several different authors.

SCARLET MOON
by Debbie Viguie

A Red Riding Hood one, and my first one to have the big bad wolf being a werewolf! Naturally he and Red have a romance going on!

WICKED
by Gregory Maguire

Totally changed my way of looking at the Wizard of Oz!! Loved it!

SHADOW BOUND
by Erin Kellison

Can't quite remember which fairy tale(s) this one retells. A lot of Erin's books have elements of different fairy tales and I find them fascinating! It's not a traditional retelling, but when reading you get the sense and "airs" of remembered fairy tales! Loooove her books!

  1. Hmm, I haven't read Nocturne or Wicked yet, but I love the other three! I cheated with my list and put the whole Once Upon a Time series together. Have you read any of the others besides Snow and Scarlet Moon?

  2. I have bad experiences with retellings. I might have to check these out since you likes them so much.

Comments are an award all on their own! So my blog is an award free one! Thanks for any consideration though!
