Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread.  If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. This meme is hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books!

Readers met the Woodcutter sisters (named after the days of the week) in Enchanted and Hero. In this delightful third book, Alethea Kontis weaves together some fine-feathered fairy tales to focus on Friday Woodcutter, the kind and loving seamstress. When Friday stumbles upon seven sleeping brothers in her sister Sunday's palace, she takes one look at Tristan and knows he's her future. But the brothers are cursed to be swans by day. I added Dearest by Althea Kontis to my TBR in December of 2014! It was a fun fantasy series that sadly didn't get enough love as it was canceled after 3 books. It was basically going to be 7 stories about 7 sisters, with each book focusing on one sister. The girls were named for the days of the week and each story was kind of inspired by fairy tales. It may have started out like retellings and may even still be, but it's been so long I can't quite remember! They were fantastic though and magical and I know Althea was self-publishing some books in this world that I have as well, I just need to circle back to them!
