Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! The meme is now hosted by Reading Reality.

Hey everyone! I had another mundane week, which there's nothing wrong with that. It's just kind of blah in the long run. I did take Friday off as a floating holiday work provided, so I decided to choose that Good Friday just because I was ready for a break. Lol. I didn't do much but with that day I was able to get a review/tour break read pretty quickly! Just like the old days! Other than that there really wasn't anything to note.

Here's what I got this week:

Up to the Challenge by Maria V. Snyder--SIGNED!

Hotel Magnifique by Emily J. Taylor--got my dates mixed up on this one! Super excited to read it though!

I think it was last year...or possibly 2020 before it was delayed, I won a preorder of Ebonwilde from Crystal and I received that this week!

Ebonwilde by Crystal Smith

THANK YOU Crystal!!

For review from the author for the blog tour, I received:

Dig Two Graves by Gretchen McNeil (ARC)--my stop is on May 1st and I'll be posting my review then

THANK YOU Gretchen!!

Then I also got this month's Owl Crate box:

I can honestly say I was a little disappointed with this one. I was excited for the book for sure, but felt a little lackluster on the color choices of the exclusive cover. I don't know why...I guess I was just expecting something to totally blow me away. The items themselves weren't as exciting either. I was disappointed by the fact that the OUABH item was not useful for everyday. Add to that there were two Night Circus items instead of maybe going for a Caraval one, which yes is in the same world as OUABH but at least had different symbolism to it.

Since FL jumped on the book only subscription, I hope Owl Crate will take that route eventually as well because these items truly are meant for fandom fans and not everyone.

I received my preorder goodies for Edgewood this week:

I got a gorgeous art print
a SIGNED bookplate
and two stickers, one with a quote and the other is the cover model

THANK YOU Wednesday Books!

Then I also bought one of Britney's exclusive doll stands from Pages of the Night! I've always loved her candlestick stands that she uses for display and I can't wait to take pictures with it.

Honestly, trying to get a good picture of this one was difficult! The lighting was no good and an extra lamp for pictures is not something I have. You can't see the gorgeous purple/blue/black galaxy combination that's going on here, but it's truly stunning! I love it!

And finally, of the non-bookish variety but is Disney related, hence the reason I'm sharing, I got this:

It's a Pop with purpose. This was for Make-a-Wish and since I had a wish granted years ago, I love supporting them when I can! This was a Box Lunch exclusive! Out of all the Disney Pops you could get to support Make-a-Wish I liked Mickey best since I felt like he is the symbol of Disney. Instead of trying to trek out to the only one in my state that is not in the best of areas, I just paid extra for the shipping! He's totally awesome with different shades of metallic blue!
