This week's topic is: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback etc?

MY ANSWER: Oh, no doubt about it definitely real books. Be they hardcover or paperback it doesn't really matter. I read a few ebooks, but I tend to buy the real book vs the ebook about 99% of the time!

I guess in the long run I really like Mass Market Paperbacks best! They always fit in my purse easier than the trade or the Hardcovers. There were times I would carry big ol' whopping purses to hold a Hardcover, but I don't really have need for that these days. That was more so when I was in school and wanted to read during recess--I mean really, what 12 year old really wants recess outside playing anyway? I always sat where we had to line up and read my book!

  1. Paperbacks are great but I don't mind eBooks either. It really depends where I am at as to which I choose.

    Have a great weekend :D

  2. They're so many pros and cons about both reading formats that I usually go back and forth between the two. I'm not picky when it comes to hardcover or paperback. All in all, as long as it's we're good!

  3. I don't mind either of them, ebooks are more convenient though :)

  4. Happy Friday, Jessica. I prefer reading paperbacks. I love the feel of real pages in my hand. I read eBooks sometimes, though. They're always faster to finish and you can easily highlight the passages you like.

  5. I alternate between paperbacks and e-books mainly and I don't think I'll ever be able to give up on having hardcopy books on hand.

    Have a great Friday Jessica!

  6. Mainly e-books for me, but I do own paperbacks and hard-copies as well.

Thanks for stopping by my FF post earlier.

    Happy reading.

  7. I like any format, but I actually really hate Mass Market Paperbacks. XD The spine breaks so easily with those and I can't stand that. I prefer the larger paperbacks, because they stay nicer. :)

  8. Oh cool. I rather prints too, but regular size, not really a fan of pocket books.

    Happy reading :)

  10. It is so hard to choose because I love covers, but I like the convenience of ebooks.

  11. I agree, Jessica. I prefer books over ebooks, although not mass markets because the font is always so small! LOL I do read a lot on my ereader though. It fits nicely in my purse. :) But I truly prefer a physical book and seem to end up buying a physical book - even if I've already read it on my ereader - so I can re-read it that way. :)

  12. LOL. I don't know that I did the whomping bag/hardcover book that young, but I definitely did it in junior high and high school, so I feel ya. I do like ebooks now because they're lighter, but I still read a fair amount of print. :D

  13. I always wanted paperbacks over hardcovers when I was younger! But now it doesn't matter to me as long as I have something to read! Thanks for stopping by my FF! Old follower!

  14. I'd probably buy more paperbacks if I had space to store them! And I was the same, at school. I was the only kid sat in the playground trying to read my book...I was surrounded by ruffians! lol
Thanks for stopping by my FF, I'm an old follower :)

  15. Hiya, Jessica! Thanks for stopping by my FF as always! :)

I do still love paperbacks, and always will. I love seeing them, smelling them and being around them. They bring me calm. When e-readers came out I was totally against them, but now? I don't mind so much. It makes my life easier especially when one is reviewing (where highlighting is concerned), but if I've truly loved a book, I will also purchase said book in paperback. I have to own it - physically!

    Happy Friday!

  19. -I mean really, what 12 year old really wants recess outside playing anyway? I always sat where we had to line up and read my book! <---- YES. That was me too! I actually got the Bookworm Award in Middle School. And I was quite proud to be honest! LOL. I prefer my eReader though. But smaller paperbacks are definitely my second choice!

  20. Haha if we went to the same school at the same time, I would've totally been there reading with you! During recess I try my best to get in some reading time, but my friends pester me so much to stop reading that I usually end up giving up. xD

  22. I like Mass Market Paperbacks too if I'm going with a physical copy, though I do read e-books a lot more often due to the simplicity it provides me. Thank you so much for stopping by my FF. Old follower :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

  25. Yes, those mass editions are really handy but the print is small so the size gets big and that really scares me sometimes! Anyways, it's good for you that you can carry them easily. Awesome answer!

  26. I'm an ebook girl myself. I love having my library with me at all times and I just don't have space in my house for the hard copies. I like to believe I'm saving trees too. :)
