The NFL, NBA, and MLB each have had their MVP chosen from the losing team. Chuck Howley won MVP of Super Bowl V, Jerry West won the NBA Finals MVP in 1969, and Bobby Richardson won the World Series MVP in 1960. Though, the NHL doesn't now have a "finals MVP" award, four goalies have won the Conn Smythe Trophy for best overall playoff performance despite losing the Stanley Cup.
