2021 End of Year Survey

Awhile back, my friend Tracy reminded me of the 2021 End of Year Survey and I thought I better get on that! Since today is the 31st I figured, it's the perfect day to post it! Since my current read is now a review book for February I figured I'm in a safe spot! Lol. I borrowed the above image from Tracy's post, because creating my own is still something I don't know how to do. Whelp. Too much time reading I guess! Lol.

I was expecting a sort of a dark fantasy with the backdrop being the historical story going on. Instead, it was more a historical fiction with very, very light threads of dark fantasy.

1. Favorite review that you wrote in 2021?

Honestly, I never really have a favorite review or post, but here's my review of Once Upon a Broken Heart! Lol.

2. Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog?

I guess will choose my post on When You Don't Like a Favorite Author's Book. I can't remember what book spurred this conversation, but it was one I felt like talking about!

3. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?

I actually got to attend TWO events this year! One was a signing with Brigid Kemmerer in Wisconsin, then I also attended YALLFest, and omg, both were INCREDIBLE!

4. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2021?

When I received an ARC of Once Upon a Broken Heart for sure!

5. Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?

Trying to find that balance between work life and reading life. I lost a job and gained a new one. I'm current working remotely, so trying to train remotely and then still find reading time is still a bit difficult. My reading speed has definitely slowed down a bit. My brief interim of unemployment was the main reason I got my reading stats up so high!

After looking at the most popular post from this year, excluding my Blogoversary one since that was a contest, it was my discussion on Writing in Your Books

While I didn't necessarily "discover" it this year, but I did finally jump on the fanart bandwagon! A Touch of Magic Designs is by far one of my favorites!

Yes! I completed them all and even outdid myself on my numbers!
