Review--Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer

The Ultimate Sacrifice.

Calla has always welcomed war. But now that the final battle is upon her, there’s more at stake than fighting. There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath. There’s keeping Ansel safe, even if he’s been branded a traitor. There’s proving herself as the pack’s alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers’ magic once and for all. And then there’s deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.

In the final installment of the Nightshade trilogy,
New York Times bestselling author Andrea Cremer creates a novel with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat until its final pages. A dynamic end to this breathtaking trilogy.

OMG. That is what I have to say about Andrea Cremer's finale to her epic trilogy! Bloodrose was phenomenal! I've been avoiding reviews of this one since I was already neck deep into it once I saw them popping up! So if you have a review up, feel free to leave me a link, I can't remember who all had read it!

But this is it! The end of Calla's story! And I am still wowed by it! Calla and her pack--what's left of it--are determined to win the war that has been brewing between the Keepers and Searchers for ages. But in order to do that, first Calla must bring Ren back to her side. She knows that she needs him even with the friction that is bound to occur with his presence. But there's so much at stake that she can't afford to leave him behind.

Shay and Calla, along with their friends have to find the swords that can help put a stop to it all. But they have to find all the pieces, for naturally they are spread out throughout the world. But with Adne's talents getting there isn't a problem.

This was definitely one emotional roller coaster of a read! I wasn't expecting that. Sure Calla has Ren and Shay on the same side now, and in the same living quarters making things ever more complicated for her conflicting feelings towards the two. But there's more at stake than just a broken heart on either side. Lives are at stake.

The book builds up to the epic battle that was meant to occur from the beginning and with it come some surprises, although you know they're coming, they still surprise you in the end. Which in itself is a surprise. The ending was deeply moving for me and I really hope everyone else invested in the series enjoyed it too! And the specials that are at the end of the book were amazing as well! A little piece that connects Bloodrose to Andrea's next release, Rift!

All in all, this was a fabulous read! Emotions run high in this epic finale (know I've used that term already, but it is so true!) when every life will be changed by the outcome.

Overall rating 5/5 stars
