10. THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER by Michelle Hodkin--I think that was her name as far as we know, right? It's been so long since I read this series!
9. THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve--I mean, her name was literally Beauty and she legit just called him Beast.
8. ALICE by Christina Henry--a dark, adult Alice in Wonderland retelling

7. ABBY COOPER: PSYCHIC EYE by Victoria Laurie--one of the most fitting titles for this topic!
6. A BAD DAY FOR SUNSHINE by Darynda Jones--yup, her name is Sunshine!
5. NEARLY GONE by Elle Cosimano--another odd name, but yup, Nearly it is! And omg, what an awesome series that should've had at least 1 more book...yet another one of my canceled series! Sob!!

 

 

 

4. FOUR by Veronica Roth--who could forget Four?
3. DOROTHY MUST DIE by Danielle Paige--and surprisingly, Dorothy is not the main character!
2. CRESS by Marissa Meyer--truly any novel from this series fits the category, but Cress was my favorite!

 

1. TEMPEST RISING by Tracy Deebs--one of my early faves! Mermaids!!! I miss mermaids! And yes, her name was Tempest!
