Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!
I had quite a good week!! I know I need to stop buying books and especially requesting on Netgalley, for I noticed my ratio went wayyy down since I've had a few galleys on there for a few months now! I need to read those asap and hopefully get my number back up some!
I got swag this week from Chloe Jacobs and Jessica Brody! One was my special poster for preordering Unchanged and its totally cool! And SIGNED!!
from Chloe I received:
a bookmark with the new covers on it
a notepad--which I discovered had a signed little note on the first page!
a flashlight
two buttons: Team Issac and Team Wyatt--totally going sport the Team Isaac one!!
THANK YOU Chloe!
Then my super cool poster from Jessica Brody and her assistant Melissa Jolly!
One side has the series title with covers on it, plus it's where Jessica signed it!
The reverse is the super-secret blueprints of the Diotech Headquarters!! Shhh!!! ;)
THANK YOU Jessica & Melissa!
Then I also won a copy of Shadow Scale from the blog tour from Melissa's My World...in words and pages! I really wanted to read this series so I entered every contest I could find! Won 2, but only accepted the one!
Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman
THANK YOU Melissa & Random House Children's Books!
Then for review from the publisher via Netgalley--more reason why I need to get reading these asap--I received:
Swerve by Vicki Pettersson (ARC)
THANK YOU Gallery Books & Netgalley!
Then books I bought this week were:
The Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige
Dreamfire by Kit Alloway
The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd
Shade of Blood by Bella Forrest--have been meaning to continue this series for forever! I thought I had some credits on my Amazon account since I chose the longer shipping method awhile back but it didn't seem that way after checking out. But oh well!

I also got another book from fellow blogger Nereyda from Mostly YA Book Obsessed:
Then what came as a surprise to me this week was receiving another gift card from credit card company! Not sure how I earned another so quickly, but I am not complaining!!
Empire of Night by Kelley Armstrong (ARC)
THANK YOU Nereyda!!

Oooh, Shadow Scale will be a treat! :-) I have it on my kindle waiting to be read. Enjoy all!
ReplyDeleteA very impressive collection this week, Jessica. Swerve looks particularly intriguing, with a healthy side of creepy & claustrophobic - wonder what you'll think about it? Wishing you a happy Easter :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat haul..... it's always great when you get a little swag (says the girl who had none :( )
ReplyDeleteMy STS - Thea @ Gizzimomo's Book Shelf
I just recently bought Dorothy Must Die cause a friend said it was good and it was on sale, still not sure about Dorothy as an evil person..I see you got the next one so you must have liked it. :)

ReplyDeleteI hope you'll enjoy Shadow Scale, it felt a lil more slow than Seraphina for me, but still a fantastic read! And Empire At Night was great, just be aware of the evil cliffhanger!!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!!
Nice goodies! I have Unremembered by Jessica Brody - signed, I actually met her when I went to a signing for Marissa Meyer - but I haven't read it yet ;/ Thanks for the reminder LOL! Enjoy your books!
