With their new base of operations established, the gang begins the search for the last remnants of the human race! In their quest to find survivors, they encounter creatures who aren’t mindless savages—and the discovery just might tear the team apart! Also: the next chapter in the outrageous adventures of Secret Squirrel!
While in between reads I decided to get back to Scooby Apocalypse since I never did read my last three issues. Scooby Apocalypse #23 picks up with the gang making the mall into their home base. They’ve learned they can avoid the battling department store monsters, for they only battle at certain points in the day. Trying to fortify their section of the mall proves to be a difficult task though.
Tensions continue to run high among the gang for Shaggy is certain that there’s something between Fred and Daisy and that his feelings for Daisy will remain unrequited. Meanwhile, Scooby and Cliffy deal with a monster that seems to have been tailing them for an issue or two and my theories about that were finally answered.
There’s another Secret Squirrel adventure in this issue one that brings about new players and betrayals into the whole mess regarding bad guys stealing the brains of the world’s most intelligent people.
All in all a most interesting issue that makes me excited to see what will happen next with the gang and even Secret Squirrel.
This issue was written and drawn by Keith Giffen, J.M DeMatteis, Rog Wagner, Andy Owens, Travis Lanham, Liz Erickson, Harvey Richards, and Jim Chadwick.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Fred and Daphne are finally together! But in a world full of murder, monsters and misery—how long can true love last?
In this next issue of Scooby Apocalypse #24, Daphne is getting anxious to see what the monsters inside the mall are up to. The gang has effectively built a barrier to block the doors to the outside, but the monsters on the inside don’t seem to be getting smaller by the number due to all their battling. Hence, Daphne’s need to investigate.
We get more background with Daphne and Fred and their past. I was tickled to see an episode of Scooby Doo Where Are You? referenced! Definitely makes for great nostalgia! And there was quite the surprise in this issue, one that I didn’t see coming but was quite glad for!
There’s another mini episode of Secret Squirrel that finally has Agent 000 confronting the assassin set out to kill him. It made for a comical moment for sure, ending in another surprise. Though we were made aware of this in the last issue.
By far this was quite the exciting issue and I almost sad to read my next one for it’s the last one I have as well! Cannot wait to see what will happen next to Mystery Inc and Secret Squirrel!
The creators of this issue were Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, Patrick O’Llife, Tom Nguyen, Andy Owens, Travis Lanham, Liz Erickson, Jill Thompson, Trevor Hairsine, Antoine Fabela, Harvey Richards, and Jim Chadwick.

These two issues were very entertaining! I especially love when they incorporate some of the classic moments of Scooby Doo in it! Such as the inclusion of a past mystery! It definitely brings up a great feeling of nostalgia! I am really enjoying this series so far! It’s quite fun and I love the serious tone it takes on. I will be eager to see where this series will go in the issues to come and it’s eventual ending! Which I honestly hope is a long time coming!
