This week's topic is: Frequently Used Words In Paranormal Titles
*my word choice is DARK
**in no particular order
Shockingly, this was harder than I thought! I didn't want to stick with the same series for more than one pick, and thus the challenge grew!
“Dark” seems like a good choice for a paranormal book. And another reason I do not read these. I don’t really like going toward the dark. Scary!
ReplyDeleteI love your meme, too. Although I'm still reading the same book as I was last week (I think).
ReplyDeleteJudson Ray is one of the living legends at Quantico. He very nearly wasn’t.
Douglas, John E.. Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit (Kindle Location 3489). Scribner. Kindle Edition.
Yes! Dark is all over paranormal novels. Like, can't he be a bright and happy vampire?
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
Makes sense that "dark" would be a popular word choice for this type of novel.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Dark is a great pick- so many cool titles/ covers!
ReplyDelete*SOBS* I LOVED DAUGHTER OF THE PIRATE KING. Oh em gee, your teaser makes me want to re-read *swoons*
ReplyDeleteHere's my Teaser Tuesday!
Totally agree about the use of DARK! But...i'm here for it :P
Dark is definitely an appropriate word for paranormals. Totally fits the mood of many of the books.
ReplyDeleteDaughter of the Pirate King sounds good. I like your emphasis on Dark too. Such a common word in urban fantasy. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYep, this is definitely one that I found too! Dark is SUCH a common title word! Great post!
ReplyDeleteDark is definitely a frequent word I see in titles, especially in urban fantasy. I wish I've read more of these!

I can think of a bunch of "Dark" books. A lot of them are Gena Showalter's too. :)
